Christmas Shoebox Appeal 2019

 – This year we are again taking part in the Blythswood Care Christmas Shoebox appeal.

Since 1966, Blythswood Care has combined the Christian message with practical help for those in need. Whether through filled shoeboxes at Christmas, relief and development aid or social projects for young and old, Blythswood brings hope to thousands in Europe, Africa and Asia. Blythswood is committed to long-term care projects in Romania, enabling disadvantaged children and young people fulfil their potential. With the support of people like you, Blythswood Care provides loving care for body and soul.

By filling a shoebox with simple gifts you can make someone happy this Christmas. It’s easy to choose gifts for people who have so little. Shampoo, a pair of socks, a notepad, a small toy, a bag of sweets – things we take for granted will seem like luxuries to people living in poverty.

If you would like to help, please pick up a leaflet at the church. This gives details & instructions on what to do and suggested items to include.

If you can’t fill a shoebox but would still like to support this appeal, you can make a cash donation by putting your gift in an envelope marked ‘Blythswood Appeal’ and placing it in one of our Sunday offerings or in the donations box on the table at the back of the church.

THE LAST DATE we are able to accept your completed shoebox at the church is SUNDAY 10TH NOVEMBER
