Easter at KEC
What’s Easter all about?
If ever anyone looked defeated it was Jesus as He died on the cross. His followers had looked up to Him and had pinned their hopes on Him. They believed that Jesus was the promised Messiah – the Rescuer chosen and sent by God to accomplish forgiveness for His people and to reign as King.
But Jesus had been falsely accused by the religious establishment and handed over to the occupying Roman forces. He was then nailed to a wooden cross and left to die an agonising death. It seemed as if the hopes of His followers were dashed and that everything they had believed had fallen apart.
But Easter reminds us that in the amazing plan of God Jesus had died on the cross to save His people from their sins “the righteous for the unrighteous, that He might bring us to God.” (1 Peter 3:18).
Three days later Jesus rose from the dead victorious over sin, death and the grave. You can experience a changed life all because of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
God wants you to experience for yourself what Easter is all about! Why not come along to one of our services to find out more?
