Freewill offerings as part of our Sunday Worship
A freewill offering is taken up during the services as part of our worship. An offering box is also available at the back of the church for this purpose. Many also give to the church through bank direct debits or by using the donate button on the church website.
1 Corinthians 16:1-2 addresses the need for giving to the church:
‘Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I have given orders to the churches of Galatia, so you must do also. On the first day of the week, let each one of you lay something aside, storing up as he may prosper.‘
We are grateful to all who support us in this way as the money, given by the congregation, is the only source of income here at Kensit Evangelical Church. Consistent giving to the church is an important part of the Christian life and such giving is to be done with thoughtfulness, sacrifice, generosity and joy.
