Explorer’s & Matrix End of Term
An Evening with Bernice Offei
– On Friday 30th June, the Explorers and Matrix groups, along with some of their parents and friends, came together for an enjoyable time together in a joint end of term event.
We started off with a selection of party food and drinks, before moving in to the church, where we had the pleasure of hearing a live performance by Bernice Offei, who is a Ghanaian award-winning gospel singer and songwriter.
Bernice sang eight different songs from her back catalogue, including ‘You are Worthy’, ‘He Did it’ and her version of an old hymn ‘What a Friend We have in Jesus’. She sang and spoke of her faith and trust in God, by interweaving her testimony with the meaning of each song. The whole evening was a good balance of friendship, worship and entertainment, and enjoyed by all that were able to attend.
