When we think about the birth of Jesus we are not to forget that Christ is the King who should be reverenced.
Jesus was created of a mother whom He created. He was carried by hands that He formed. He cried in the manger in wordless infancy, He the Word, without whom all human eloquence is mute. (Augustine)

Sermon Title: Why were shepherds told first about Jesus’ birth?
The shepherds were filled with wonder at the message of the angel that the Messiah had been born. Christmas brings a wonder. It brings a holy wonder that God was manifest in the flesh.
